About Dr T. Lakshmikanth
Took MBBS in 1998 from Dr M. G. R. Medical University,
Chennai, (SRMC) and secured Distinction in Anatomy, Pathology and
Surgery. Pursued MS from Post Graduate Institute JJMMC, Davangere,
attained the highest distinction in General Surgery and won exalted
Prof Maheshawarappa’s Gold Medal. Underwent training in the Department
of Surgical Gastroenterology and achieved - Post Doctoral Clinical
Fellowship in Gastrointestinal Surgery from Nizam Institute of Medical
Sciences, Hyderabad, Post Doctoral Clinical Fellowship in Laparoscopic
Surgery from GEM Institute. Honour of visiting Japan as the young
Investigator and Scientist also underwent advanced Gastrointestinal
Surgical and Endoscopic training in Japan.
Organized and participated in various workshops in Laparoscopy
at National and International level under the leadership of Dr
Palanivelu. Trained under renowned surgeons like Prof Palanivelu, Prof
R. A. Shastri, Dr Nobuyasukano, Dr Kusanagi, Dr. Marasco and Dr. Raul
J.Rosenthal .
